Five Year Olds

The Kindergarten Readiness Class is specifically designed for two groups of children:



This class consists of a maximum of ten children with one teacher and one teacher’s aide.

Daily Schedule

9:00-9:20—arrival and table play

9:20-9:40—circle time

9:40-10:10—letterbooks

10:10-10:25—snack time

10:25—10:45—second circle

10:45-11:20—art project, table activity, free play, clean up

11:20-11:45—gym or playground

11:45-12:00—review day, story, songs

Monthly walks to the Williamsville Library for story hour, Field trip to Kelkenberg Farm, Walk to Williamsville Fire Department for safety lesson, Field trip to Williamsville North Planetarium for planet program, Class visits from police officers, dental hygienists, Aquarium of Niagara, Animal Adventures, Walks to Garrison Park playground, Halloween Concert, Christmas Concert, Dad’s Breakfast, 100thDay Celebration, Easter Basket Hunt, Mother’s Day Concert and Tea, End-of-Year Program.

Beginning to Read, Write, and Listen

Beginning to Read, Write, and Listen is a multi-sensory reading and language arts program designed for young children.  It consists of a set of 16 page letterbooks (workbooks), each focusing on a single letter of the alphabet.  Listening tapes and supplementary materials accompany each letterbook.
